13 Reasons Why - Season 1 ( Episode 1 & 2 ) ( Spoiler Review )

A teen's suicide serves as the central theme of this developed series. Hannah Baker, who committed suicide as a result of ongoing bullying, left behind some tapes detailing the causes of her terrible death and outlining the previous actions of particular people.

Clay Jensen , a friend of Hannah , gets the tape and is in a hurry to explore the whole story. They used to be in the same class and worked together in the theatre.

The 14 tapes parceled to him made him nervous as he thinks he may be the reason for her demise. The first tape introduces three new personalities –

A) Justin – He met Hannah for the very first time at her house when she hoisted a party. He slowly began to approach her and finally they went on a date to a park. Hannah shared her first kiss with him. It was all fun until the next day of school where explicit pictures of Hannah taken by him were leaked . This started infusing the feelings of betrayal in her and was the end of their relationship.

B) Jessica Davis & Alex Standall – Jessica and Hannah shared a common ground. They both were new to this school. They met each other in the counsellor’s office. They started hanging out together and Jessica was considered a good friend by Hannah. While they both were having a drink one evening they came across Alex who was alone and was caught checking them out. They approached him and started initiating a conversation. The duo grew into a trio friendship.

The friendship starts to strain as Jessica and Alex started to date and they stopped meeting Hannah in the coffee shop. Jessica also confronts Hannah because of a rumor and puts the blame on her for their breakup.
